Round 1:
From April 15th to June 15th, 2024, contestants join the 6th Search for Atlantis Photo Contest by sharing up to 5 photos using only two hashtags #OrcaTorch and #SearchforAtlantis2024 on Instagram and submitting the entry link through the provided form.
Round 2:
OrcaTorch team will upload strictly selected 50 photos before June 20th. Contestants choose 10 favorites except their photos from June 20th-24th. The 30 photos with the highest picks will be included in the next vote.
Round 3:
OrcaTorch team will upload the top 30 photos selected by contestants before June 25th, and these 30 works will be displayed to all public audiences to vote from June 25th-July.1st. 10 photos with the highest votes will come out after this round.
Round 4:
The final top 10 photos will be voted by our judges to choose the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize winners. Excellent Prize winners and Special Recomendation Prize winners will be chosen by the OrcaTorch team. The final winners will be announced on July 5th, 2024, and win our big prizes.
Photo Specifications
1. Search for Atlantis Photos that must be related to cave diving OR wreck diving.
2. Each contestant can submit up to Five (5) photos.
3. The photo(s) must be the contestant’s original work, not be more than three years old on the opening date of the competition (ie: must have been taken after 15th April 2021).
4. using AI software to generate entire pictures or to generate parts of photos is strictly forbidden
5. The photo(s) must not contain any copyrighted material including artwork and other photos.
6. The photo(s) must not contain date stamps, watermarks, or any text on the image.
7. The photo(s) must not have been awarded in any other photo contests and/or commercially published whether for news, advertising, or otherwise.
8. Contestants must agree and comply with the Official Rules.
9. We encourage former contestants to continue participating, however, previously submitted works are not eligible for resubmission again.
Eligibility
1. Contestants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian. By entering the contest, entrants under 18 years of age indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. The contest is not open to employees and family members of the employees of OrcaTorch (the "organizer") and the judges of the contest.
Note:
1. Copyright holders retain the copyright of their work. For awarded pictures, copyright holders grant the OrcaTorch unlimited non-exclusive use of high-resolution pictures for activities in all media, including social media, online and print, about the contest, the exhibition, and all promotional and educational activities for and under the auspices of the OrcaTorch, without any remuneration being due.
2. If the winner(s) fails to respond to the notification within 14 days (counted from the date of announcement of winners), thus the prizes will be regarded as automatically waived
3. All winners must claim their respective prizes within 1 month from the date of notification. All unclaimed prizes will be regarded as automatically waived and no correspondence or appeal will be entertained.
4. The organizer reserves the right to withdraw the prizes if the winners do not comply with the contest terms and conditions.
5. The Organizer's decision on all matters relating to this Contest shall be final, conclusive, and binding. The Organizer is not obligated to give any reasons on any matter in the contest.
